Pumpkin Activities

Tabitha's Pumpkin

My co-workers and I worked together to create some art and writing.  I had the students create a wax-resisit pumpkin drawing and then add watercolor.  Mrs. Plant, third grade teacher, read the story Spookley, The Square Pumpkin prior to me coming in and working on this project.  We encouraged the third grade students to create different kinds of pumpkins in all shapes and colors, just like in the story.

Ms. Rowley, fourth grade teacher, worked with the students to create acrostic pumpkin poems.  I have included both videos below for ideas on what we did.  Please enjoy them on this pumpkin day.

Artfully,

Mrs. Berry
